Review: Acnes 3 Step Kit!!

i was recent given the Mentholatum Acnes 3 step kit BUT how can i give u guyz a review of the product when i DUN have acne??? and at first sight, i tried/ smell and felt it was too strong for my 2 mini pimples!

SO, i've got my cousin who face the trouble of oily and acne skin to try out the product for me!

Like all regular 3 step skincare product, it always starts with a creamy wash!

Creamy Wash :

When you squeeze this creamy wash out, it is creamy and abit of the cream is enough. I did not squeeze much and it is enough for my whole face. It is incredible for me as I do have a big round face. The scent of the creamy wash is mint, and after washing the face, you really can feel the cleanliness of the face! I tried various products, and some of the products do have the residue of the oiliness in the face, so I had to wash again. But for this creamy wash, one wash and immediately you can feel your skin refreshed!

Powder Lotion:

The powder lotion does have a strong smell of alcohol and the powder in the lotion do helps in getting rid of the oil in the face. I thought it will make my face dry with the lotion but it does not. The smell is quite strong but still bearable.

Sealing Jell:

The last step in the routine =) after using the powder lotion, I will apply this jell onto the affected areas in my face, like the powder lotion, it does have smell but for the sake of pretty face, it is bearable. The next day when I woke up, those new born pimples dead down.

My cousin has been suffering from oily skin and acne for a long time. Although pimples are still growing here and there, she had grown out of her major pimple growth era and wat is left are oily skin and mostly acne scars.

IMO, off shelf products are/ maybe good enough for minor pimple issues but if u have a full face of red, swollen or even itch acne, its best to visit the doctor and STOP THE TOUCHING AND SQUEEZING!!

I have been using the lotion for a few days and i really like the light and non oily texture plus no scent issues coz physiogel products are fragrance free.

My skin can be easily irritated by thick body lotion but i have really dry skin especially on my leg area due to some health issues. i believe everyone knw that dry skin leads to itchy-ness and if i were to apply baby lotion on my already very itchy skin, i'll get DOUBLE ITCHY-NESS!!

Therefore, light and non oily or water based moisturizes are my only solution.

Although, i like the light and non oily texture of the physiogel lotion but it can be pretty irritating when it comes to the fact that i have to reapply the lotion every now and then.

Then it went on to a mini skin lecture by Dr Mark Tang. I won't deny that if was a weeeee abit dry *not his skin but his talk* but it was most certainly informational and helpful.

Dr Tang explained and showed how to and why moisturizing is important.

Omy presents Singapore Blog Awards 2010

It's the annual 'BIG TIME' in the blogging community!! SINGAPORE BLOG AWARDS 2010 By OMY!!!

I was there with my usual kakiz, Gin, Ying Zi, Clara, Ash and one other babe...

Theme for the event was Dressed to be Paparazzi Spotted (Bling Bling hollywood glam style). And i was totally out of theme! Nvm lah i wasn't there to be spotted by paparazzi's..

The award presentation was held at Movida, St James. And the set was something like a mini "ocsars" award. They had mini red carpet and a small group of paparazzi.

This is a after birthday post... ah... after as in overdue!!

anyway, Jessica was in town just a few days before her birthday so.... some of the girls decided to meet up for a mini early birthday celebration and we've decided to go to fika!! *cannot get enough of their meat balls*

I had swedish pannbiff.. jess sent mi the pic but i dunno where it went =p. But it's basically beef patties served with creamy sauce, mashed potatoes, garden salad and lingonberry jam.

i would say... the meatballs are better than the beef patties coz the beef patties were to hard.. fika is an good place to go if u have a good afternoon to waste. They have very pretty interior deco, they serve yummy dessert and they have very friendly staff but the chairs isn't as comfy as the sofas at starbuck or tcc.

we also got our birthday gal a tiny slice or oreo cheese cake, coz all of us are at the point of bursting!!

Personally, i'm in love with the MO range Mask!! With a hint of rose scent and only 5 mins!! ur skin will be supple and smooth with radiance!! * i already have loads of it at home =p*

and a little tip for using the mask is lifting of the 'S' shaped cut on the mask!
