I am using this serum on my beautiful *lol* legs now! And the 1 thing i noticed is, the moisturizing effect of this serum is super! i use to have dry and scaly leg due to my body condition. And to make it worse, the itchiness will become worse it i start applying lotion!

So my dry and scaly legs are left unattended for many many years till my body condition became better and my scaly legs became better. But they are still as dry as ever. You guyz remember the Vichy Anti Imperfection Challenge? Not very long ago i was invited to attend the showcase of another skincare series by Vichy, The Vichy Bi-WHITE Reveal range.

ok end of commercial break. Let's get back to the products. I was given the whole range of Bi-WHITE reveal products to try and i've added some of them to my 'day' skincare routine.

Before i actually start talking about the products, i want to first set my humble opinion on whitening straight.

There is something about us asian girls wanting to be fair. The "i want to be fairer" trend is so bad, to an extent of one walking into a profession make up bouquet, gets the make up artist to pick her foundation shade and requesting for a shade lighter a day after the purchase cause her entire family feels that its to dark WHEN the foundation is clearly her skin tone.

Seriously i dun understand why..why do people want their face to look like its attached to the wrong body??

For me, Whitening is not about turning myself from Pocahontas to Snow white. It about giving my already tan face that glow.. hmmm.. something like if u are fair u wan to be fair not pale, for me it's i wan to be glowing tan NOT dull. Point is i dun believe that i can change my skintone completely just by applying products. ok products! First, the Concentrate, Essence and Eye cream.

Deep Cell-Whitening Spot Intervention:

This new baby of Vichy's Bi-WHITE reveal range comes in a cream/ gel like texture. I do not have serious freckles or spot problem but this product did help me lighten some of my slight skin discoloration due to pimples. I also apply this product around the corners of my nose where it tends to be a little darker than the rest of my face.

Double Corrective Whitening Essence:

My 2nd favourite product of the range. Unlike most essence that i've tried, the double corrective whitening essence is very light. Not only that it is not sticky, it does not give my face that super shiny look and it smells nice... like vanilla...

Anti-Dark Circle Whitening Corrective Eye Care:
I'm never a fan of eye creams cause most eye cream can be too rich for my eyes and i'll start to grow milia seeds, i can't blame the products cause it's a generic issue but i try to prevent it by staying away from eye creams. I know that all of doctors may say that milia seeds has got nothing to do with eye creams but for me i'll rather not take the risk.

Having say that i always run away from eye creams, the Anti Dark Circle Whitening Corrective Eye Care comes in a creamy gel like texture which feels lighter than most eye cream. I do notice that my dark circles are lighter now after more than 3 weeks of use and most importantly no milia seeds.

Double Corrective Whitening Day Cream SPF20:
The day moisturizer of this range. Like my eye cream, i rarely use cream moisturizer cause i've got combination skin and cream moisturizer be too rich for me causing my face to look super oily and shiny by mid day. But the Double corrective whitening day cream does not cause my face to be shiny. In fact it has got this mattifying finish to it plus it is also SPF 20. Although, it's too low for many, but being the 'i can nv get enough sleep' kind of person, little protect is good protect during lazy days!!

All the goodness apart, there is two things i wanna mention about this day cream. First, if you the kind of gal that uses your moisturizer as a base for ur powder, then this is NOT the moisturizer you are looking for. Perhaps it's the mattifying finish that doesn't hold on to powders.

Second, I not sure if anyone of you has realized but i feel that whitening moisturizers tend to give the skin a white cast, which i really do not like! So, please do not spam this moisturizer on your face then blame it for giving u milk sweat.

Double Corrective Whitening Night Cream:
This is the last step of my night skincare routine. I have always believe that night time is the time where skin repairs and regenerate all the good cells. And the products we put on our faces every single night are there to give some of our "not very hard working" cells a push! And the double corrective whitening night cream helps to neutralize existing melanin allowing my skin to look more radiant.

In all, i feel that the Vichy Bi-WHITE Reveal range is one whitening range that i will go back too cause the products that i've tried are really light,they dont give me that oily/sticky/"i have too much product on face" feeling and till date i have yet to experience any breakout. Results from the product can be seen especially for my dark undereye! BUT! Please do not think that i've become fairer..

Foltene: Hair Treatment Specialist

Before i start my post on the Foltene hair care series, i thought this would also be a good time for me to show my readers my new hair....

Its not the change in my hair color this time BUT! a change in the style and length! YES! i've chopped more than half of my precious *took me 4 years to grow out* hair!

Hmmm..
OK not much difference..

But still.. with all my super dry ends chopped off, there is no need for rich shampoo. Of course, i would still need to have something that gives me that soft and silky hair but now i need something gentle and effective. Something that can give me soft hair and NOT oily scalp.

Oily scalp has been a huge problem for me, personally i've got oily scalp and the weather in singapore is not doing my oily scalp any better and to make my problem worse i've got really fine and thin hair. Which means oily scalp/ oily hair + fine and thin hair = FLAT HAIR!!

When i was searching for a shampoo and conditioner, Mark "the not your everyday" marketing manager came along and showered me with 2 awesome products: Foltene Restructuring Shampoo and Revitalizing Conditioner.

I'm sure most of us would be most familiar with the Foltene Eyelash and eyebrow treatment as it can be seen on the cashier counters of our local pharmacy. But unknown to many of us, Foltene is one of the leading pioneers in hair treatments.

Here's some information of the Restructuring Shampoo and Revitalizing Conditioner from foltene.com.sg:

Not stated in the description above, hair care products by Foltene are SLES free. SLES is the initial for Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which is a dissolving/ foaming agent found in many personal care products. And SLES is known to cause Skin or eye irritation. So with Foltene's SLES formula, their products are suitable for all scalps including sensitive scalps.

And here's my review:

Let's start with the Restructuring Shampoo:

The first thing that came to my mind when i first set my eyes on the products are the packaging! Seriously, the packaging of most " dermatologically tested" products have no match to many of our off shelf brands that we see everyday. Even the scent and the look of the product itself is not as attractive. But dont be deceived but they "too serious and boring" look!

Sorry for my bias first impression but my initial bias-ness towards this product bite my right at the ass when i tried the shampoo. As mentioned, i had problems with the shampoo that i was using previous which was working totally fine when i still having long hair.

Foltene Restructuring Shampoo

My previous shampoo was too rich, which was good for my long and dried out hair but now that all the nasty dry ends are gone. The richness of my previous shampoo gave me oily hair problems! I had to rush home from work just to shampoo my hair before i head out for the night.

Now that i'm using Foltene, i don't have problems with oily hair. I do not have to rush here and there anymore and i do not have flat and shiny hair till the end of the day. And if you are thinking that i'm now suffering from rough dry hair... no.. my hair is soft! Soft and smooth...

I love this shampoo cause my hair no longer look flat. But there is one thing i must mention, you know how shampoo advertisement always have their model standing in the shower, shampooing their hair with luxury and rich looking foams. Please don't expect that for this shampoo cause it's SLES free!!

The Foltene Revitalizing Conditioner:

Foltene Revitalizing Conditioner

Unless any other conditioners i've used, the Foltene Revitalizing Conditioner does not give me that "i still have product on my hair after raising it" feeling. It is super easy to raise off and it is not oily at all. And since it is not oily, it's ok to have this conditioner near your scalp! Also, this conditioner also got aloe vera!! and aloe vera helps stimulate cells for hair growth! One more step to thicker hair!!
